EU-CHINA BRIDGE General Assembly, Athens 2025
Our EU+UK Consortium Meeting in Athens on 8–9 September brought together Work Package leaders and experts from across Europe and China to advance collaboration on key pathways for decarbonising the steel and chemical industries.
Day 1 was packed with insightful discussions and presentations, including:
- Chinese and EU consortium overviews
- Technology inventories and upscaling paths
- Policy roadmaps for deep decarbonisation
- Integrated model development and net-zero emissions pathways\
- GHG and short-lived climate pollutant emission inventories
- Strategies for communication, dissemination, and exploitation
Emphasis on Open & FAIR science
Day 2 focused on:
- Training on Integrated Assessment Modelling
Parallel Work Package and cross-WP meetings based on project needs
We evaluated the current status of the project and set strategic priorities for the upcoming months.
